''Captain Vyom'' is an Indian live-action superhero science fiction television series aired on DD National in 1998. It was directed by Ketan Mehta. It starred Milind Soman in lead role. ==Plot synopsis== By 2220, humans has conquered the solar system and established the spaces stations on several planets. The earth is governed by World Government, headquartered at Delhi. There is a high security prison on Io, the eighth moon of Jupiter, which holds twelve powerful criminals of the universe in suspended animation. A meteor crashed into Io and disabled its security system. The 12 criminals escaped the prison. They are Teja, Paras - the alchemist, Chhalasur - the illusionist, Mohini - the hypnotist, Durgati - the biologist (Sushmita Mukherjee), Morpha - the shape-shifter, Kineto - the psychic, Sonic - the Lord of soundwaves (Dino Morea), Venom - the toxicologist (Madhu Sapre and Achint Kaur), Gravito - the gravity expert, Computo - the cyborg and Vikaal - the sociopath (Rahul Bose and Ken Philips). Captain Vyom, a super soldier, is assigned by World Government to capture the fugitives. He is a son of scientist Dr. Om Swaroop (Milind Soman). He was raised in a monastery in Ladakh and had received superpowers by training in Yoga. He is given a team of some exceptionally-powered soldiers to fight the criminals. The team includes Commander Pablo, Lieutenant Maya (Kartika Rane), Captain Blaze (Sanjay Singh), Dr. Zen (Divya Palat), Fuller, Syd-E - the android (Shehzaad Saeed), and Surya (Jeto Sanjana). They left in a spaceship, Ulka. Eventually Captain Vyoms is revealed as the grandson of the ruler of ''Parajeev'' - the parasite, the alien race from thirteenth dimension. His mother Parchhayee or Naina (Nethra Raghuraman) is a daughter of the Kaala Saya, the ruler of ''Parajeev'' - the parasite, an alien race of body parasites. He is helped by Vishwapramukh (Tom Alter) and Astro Guru (Chandrakant Shastri).
